Have been using these for a few years now. They worked better than anything else we tried. You should first scrape off the burnt dirt with a razor blade and then use it with your favorite glass cleaner to finish and polish the surface. I use a palm grip from another brand of pads in combination with these to give an even pressure when using them, making them much more effective. The pen came with a couple of pre-moistened cleaning pads that didn't do anything, but the pen itself worked great with those pads.
