I asked my husband to try on these reflective PUWAN men's sneakers. He runs regularly and takes long, brisk walks, so I wanted to know his opinion on these air-cushioned running shoes. He really wanted to like these shoes as he admired their looks, especially the color scheme and the soft heel. Unfortunately, he was generally disappointed. The first problem he faced was size. My husband's foot size is between 11.5 and 12, so he usually orders a size up. However, these size 12 PUWAN shoes felt small. Even though he was able to put them on, he immediately felt the difference between their fit compared to other size 12 shoes. Due to their poor cushioning, which will be discussed below, my husband attempted to fit his size 12 insoles into these PUWAN shoes , but the insoles were too big and didn't fit. Then he tried the size 11.5 insole and it fit perfectly. My husband estimates that these PUWAN sneakers are about half a size smaller than expected. As mentioned above, the next problem he found was thin padding. This was surprising as the soles of the shoes felt heavy when he held them in his hands. Considering their weight, he thought they should have a very strong sole and a thick insole. However, when he put them on, he found that they didn't cushion at all. It was unexpected for sneakers. Second, the overall quality of the shoe leaves a lot to be desired given the price. For example, the laces are regular flat laces compared to the stronger and smoother round laces found in most similarly priced sneakers. On the plus side, the upper feels soft yet durable and really adds to the appeal of this shoe. The shoes are also equipped with a transparent air-cushioned heel. My husband has found that the heel of the shoe under his feet is the most secure and durable part of this shoe. Unfortunately, the outsole and heel profile appear very thin and tend to wear out in the air cushion part after regular use. Considering the above issues and their current cost, my husband said he couldn't recommend these PUWAN reflective running shoes.
