The silver is fun but be careful not get everywhere.
This gel smells nice and it covered my dark hair, giving me a realistic silver gray look. I added to damp hair and blew it dry, then I touched up areas and set it with hairspray. I would say it can be messy. The silver can easily get everywhere if you are not careful in applying. It does wash up well tho. I wouldn't sleep in it either because it will make what ever you rub your head on silver. I would describe it as kind of like a cream eye shadow.
