Like others I bought these because my 15 year old daughter got the permit. They're the perfect size to stick on the back of any car, but not so fun that they're in the way. They come in a set of three, so I put one on my van, one on my husband's car, and then I carry one in my purse (yeah, weird) in case she ends up driving someone else's car. They are definitely reflective. when the lights are on As for removing, fine. We're too lazy for that. So they've been on our machines for a few months. No color fading. No peeling.
