Mixed results good for hair care

I was suspicious because the price is incredibly high. Yes, the tub is quite large, but paying over $60 (and I think the price has actually gone up a dollar or two in the past few weeks) for a product like this is way out of my comfort zone. The only reason I wanted to go ahead and try it was because I thought something so expensive should be effective. So are there any good results? Yes and no. It's quite pigmented, very very thick and clumpy, so it takes some effort to evenly distribute it throughout my hair. The smell is very perfumed and strong but ceases to be overpowering. I'm an odor-sensitive person and that's almost too much for me. As an air conditioner, it's not bad. I have thick, coarse hair and it doesn't weigh it down. In fact, I find it gives me a decent amount of body and movement. However, for things like moisturizing and detangling, this could be better. As for the purplish/toning aspect, it works *but* the results are inconsistent. It will tone a strand of hair without doing anything to the adjacent section and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for it - I'll do my best to make sure everything is evenly covered and soaked, I'll let it sit fairly long on my hair, but no matter what I try, it just doesn't bring consistent results. So if I'm paying that much money for a hair product, it's better to actually ship it. After trying it a few times, the perfume smell, the texture and the fact that the results are disappointing led me to conclude that it's just not worth the money.
