I needed a replacement for my Bialetti milk frother that had a teflon coating and lasted a couple years before the coating eventually wore off. If you look at the pictures, this item barely lasted a few weeks until the bottom was covered by burnt milk. My wife and I keep our kitchen clean, and there was no way we could heat up milk for a latte without burning the pitcher. And, no matter of scrubbing would bring it back clean. You could heat up the milk only midway and then use the microwave to finish a latte, but what's the point? Needless to say, not pleased with this product.UPDATE: Unexpectedly, I received a note from the company after I posted this review and they offered me a refund, which I accepted. They explained that this pitcher is designed for someone who wants to steam milk and make froth once the milk has been heated elsewhere. I get the usage now, but I'm not a barista with a commercial espresso machine and frothing wand, so this product just wasn't for me. I do appreciate how they reached out and took care of my concerns.
