My car had hip replacement surgery and wanted to try something other than a plastic e-collar. He didn't seem to mind wearing it - he even took a nap. Unfortunately, he was still able to sidestep it to lick the seams. He's a tall boy and quite long, so if you have a rather petite, short kitten, he might suit you.
