Review on πŸ’ͺ Tripp Lite Isobar 10 Outlet Audio/Video Surge Protector - Ultimate Protection with Tel/Modem/Coax/Network Compatibility & $500,000 Insurance (HT10DBS) in Black by Mike Palma

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Internet era update required but still security standard

I emailed Tripp-Lite about this filter issue and THEY CALL ME. I almost died. They confirmed that this is almost identical to the AVBAR10, except for the joule rating, so whatever's cheaper, go crazy. One star deducted because: - NOBODY needs all those coax connectors. I'd rather have just one input that splits into two outputs and an included plug when not in use. Two pairs of Ethernet ports are required so that I can protect the incoming WAN port and the outgoing LAN port on the same router (to protect against transients coming from another remote switch to the device behind the protection - Ethernet must be Gigabit -Support Ethernet, no need to support PoE or anything else crazy, but c'mon it's 2014 and we have WiFi with speeds in excess of 100Mbps TVs, receivers, subwoofers, Blu-ray players and routers.

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • Corrupted
