This is a great product. It does what it's supposed to and I haven't had any problems so far. I haven't traveled with it but the mirror is fine and you can fold the lid all the way down if you don't want to use it. My only real complaint is that the corners and edges where the outer packaging makes contact with the magnet are not smooth and open. So I had a shadow break (I didn't survive depoting) and tried to salvage it, but since it broke more in the palette, the shadows got stuck in the corners and edges and I can't even remove them with a cotton swab
