*Update: This thinner version doesn't work at all on my drinking fountain. Since the material is much thinner, it is sucked into the grooves of the pump. Finally, I dip my hands into the muddy water and try to move the filter media. I need to find something similar to what was sent to me in my original order. I buy this product for the second time. I use it in my pet water fountain which was a great suggestion I read when I bought the water fountain. However, this time the filter/sieve is significantly thinner than my last order. There used to be a very clear distinction between the blue and white sides of the filter and the material was much more solid. This time the alternative to the blue side I believe is white but it is very thin and you can see the blue side through. I'm sure it will still filter mucus and dirt from dog lips, but it's definitely a different product.
