This unit is weaker than the one I replaced it with. It's finicky, if you clean it, expect it to fall apart in your hand (you can put it back together and have it working again in a couple of days). The rating is a misinterpretation. It doesn't move that much water in any way, my 150 gallon per hour Echo moves a lot more water. I do not recommend you use it in an aquarium, nano aquarium, pond, pool or rivers and streams.
