Compact, lightweight and powerful vacuum cleaner. Nice long power cord. Great for use in a portable dust extraction system like Oneida's where you need the recommended 5hp but don't need the roomy/possibly bulky vacuum motor hopper. Recc uses a drywall pocket filter in the drum to protect the included pleated filter, which can quickly become clogged, resulting in a loss of suction power and can be a real problem with proper cleaning. Can't comment on durability as I've only just started using it. Cons: Not a lot of room in the trash drum to use as a standalone vacuum (you'll empty it often, but it can come in handy for small jobs where you can't tow it, or in a big vacuum), but great, to power the system dust collection. This may be my fault but don't let the photo fool you that the hole at the top is for either the air inlet or outlet (which would be brilliant for my intended use) - the hole is just for storing one of the attachments and otherwise Nothing. The exhaust is actually on the back of the unit, just above where the plastic turns red and blows horizontally. My vacuum came with an exhaust diffuser, which is good, but I can't say it makes the unit noticeably quieter (this vacuum is a lot quieter than my old-school Sears Craftsman, which is so loud you have to wear headphones) or helps keep debris from blowing out, already on the surface where the device is (might help, just don't know because I haven't actually checked). What more could you want for just over $100!
