We don't use a nappy ghost or a special recycling bin for our diapers - the smelly ones just put them in one of those bags, tie them in a knot and throw them in the kitchen waste. No smell yet and we've used them on every "hard" diaper for 15 months. We're tying a real bag instead of tying it with handles, so that can be a part of it too.
