This part was listed as a replacement for my model of Whirlpool refrigerator. It is not. The original part number 1123212 mounts by the left mounting slipping into a slot on the left side.The right side is stepped and has a clamp like a speed nut.The replacement part 2198202 works electrically but is impossible to mount because the left arm of the bracket is 1 inch too short and the right arm is both too short and is not stepped nor does it have the clamp.The part can be adapted by cutting off the arms of the old thermostat and drilling and screwing them to the replacement with very short-3/8- sheet metal screws.A LOT OF UNNECESSARY WORK!
