Review on OTC 1545 Motorcycle Lift by Mike Dart

Not for trikes! for car lifts, elevators and jacks

Nowhere in the description I could find does it say it can't lift a tricycle (just need something for detailing and cleaning). The motorcycle weighs 1300 kg. After 9 days of waiting for the delivery, he appeared. I unboxed it and it looks sturdy and nicely designed. The problem is that when it's under the Tri Glide to the rear wheels, so it's still on the frame, it doesn't lift the bike evenly in the slightest, the front wheel was at least 5-6 inches off the ground. with rear wheels not rising more than half an inch, very unstable. Then, as he was lowered, he fell like a stone. I understand that 1300lbs is the extreme end of max lift but shouldn't be dropping that fast. It can lift two wheelers, which aren't too heavy, but it should be in the description (unless I've overlooked it). Definitely don't buy for tricycles! I will keep it for my quad as it will probably fit for that. With that much weight, I wouldn't even trust the locking levers on a two-wheeler. They simply push through the bottom of the frame and snap unsteadily to the lever I think. I have decided to order a very expensive and stable lift but now have to wait several weeks for delivery. Buyer Warning!
