These pants are too tight in the hips for my 4 year old son but too wide in the front. He is of medium height, neither thin nor fat and comfortably wears 5T clothing. I call them pants because they are definitely NOT jeans. Made from fabric material. The material is almost like cotton for a shirt. I still gave it 2 stars because it looks cute, the lightweight material can be a plus if you want to look like jeans in the summer, and the elastic waistband is great for little kids who aren't quite the zip and button combo yet have mastered . If you want light material, your child is very thin and wear it with the shirt outside, to cover the front bulge. then it might work. Otherwise don't worry.
