Review on πŸ’€ Sleep Cool with the Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR-Cloud Breeze Dual Cooling Pillow - Queen Size, White by Dean Locke

High hopes for this pillow collapsed after the first night

I had high hopes for this pillow. I liked that it came in a large size and had cooling layers on both sides. As it was a very heavy pillow I really expected it to get the solid support needed for side sleeping. Unfortunately I was wrong. This pillow might be perfect for sleeping on your back (I don't know, I can't sleep like that), but unless you're small and light, there's no way you can get neck support if you sleep on your side. The Tempur foam is too soft to offer that kind of support. Part of the problem is related to the basic shape of the pillow. This is a traditional shaped pillow with the edges tapering to a thin edge with a zippered cover. When you sleep on your side, the thin layer of foam around the edge doesn't compress much or provide support. If the pillow were full depth and squared off like many foam pillows, it could be perfect for side sleepers. On the plus side, the cooling gel layers work quite well. The first time you lay it, you will feel a very noticeable cool feeling, even with 1000 tf cotton pillowcases. Although that feeling didn't last all night, I can't tell if the pillow was ever hot. My search continues for a really cool sleeping pillow with enough height and firmness to sleep on my side.
