I really liked the rug when I first got it. For some reason it looks darker, more of a medium gray than a light ivory. Maybe that's a bunch, and when they walk on it, it changes its appearance. I can buy lining to make it even thicker. The combination of light ivory and a striking gray pattern was perfect for my furniture and small space. Now the gray color doesn't seem so overpowering as the overall color is a bit gray now. The carpet is new, I live alone, I haven't walked the carpet much so it's not dirty.
