This pump is well made and very powerful. I had trouble finding the correct 3/4 ID hose. I finally found what I needed at a pond store in the next county. I use it to pump fresh water from a bucket into my 5 foot tall fish tank. My old pump was underpowered and took forever to empty a 5 gallon bucket. It takes about a minute as it empties a bucket and it's so powerful that I have to be careful or the force will uproot my plants or punch a hole in my gravel soil. It has a control valve that I could use to reduce the flow, but I haven't tried it yet. Very impressive!
