As I have mentioned several times about every tree I collect? I LOVE great wood! And this sweet baby was no exception, "except"? I really dislike saying negative things that I find annoying. If I don't care about something, doesn't that mean others might find it uncomfortable? But I'll mention it here as I think others might be as surprised as I am? That gives you time to prepare if that's the case, so here it is. I am very aware that not including the batteries is not a problem at all as I expect if I want? But when is the tree (or something else) not from another food source? Yes, I was surprised and annoyed at the same time. EVERY other tree, toy, whatever, with an alternate power source, be it USB or straight plug? It just is. This adorable little tree comes with a nada, just room on the base to provide your OWN round 6 volt DC power socket IF you don't want to supply batteries. It's not even easy to find a USB because everyone has it around somewhere, and why? Because all offer products that require a battery as an alternative source of energy! But this little tree requires a specific female direct feeding that is not so accessible to everyone and that seemed wrong to me. Did it feel like I wasn't expecting it, or did you think maybe it didn't need anything special? Again, this anger can be entirely on my side, which is why I didn't deduct a star for absence. But I felt good to mention that it doesn't negate the holiday/fall feeling this lovely little tree brought me, huh? I found it workable after unsuccessful attempts to use non-working power plugs as shown in the last picture. Everything glowed! See how adorable it is when the lights are on? Quite expensive, even without a backlight, I have to say. Seasonally perfect for home, office, fall teacher's desk gift! I love this tree! But it would be a good idea to turn on the lighting equipment instead of locating it, but then again? Probably just me. EXCELLENT WOOD!
