Bought these to replace a rotten speaker in a '92 Bonneville door and had them on hand. I bought these to qualify for "free shipping" but was planning to replace the dash tweeters in my Blazer but as luck would have it I put them where needed. I installed a small JVC head unit and really blew it the first time. Crackling and distortion above 12/35. Even on the stock unit it sounded terrible, and as it turned out with "improved handling and power ratings" it would do the trick. Boy was I wrong. Don't waste your time with Pyle, Pyramid or other cheap brands. We all know better. Cheap materials = bad product. Might be good for a while but that's the key. Buy 18 of these over the life of a paper cone OEM speaker and you'll always have to buy more.
