Too non-stick for my purposes

Tried this for the first time in yoga today. I liked that I was more stable on the mat, but I had a few issues. My back slid further down as I brought my leg back into warrior pose and adjusted my posture. Second, I have long toes, which isn't a problem initially, but the more I move in the poses due to traction on the mat, the tighter they wrap around the base of my toes, causing some pinching pain. I'm not sure what will solve this problem other than the toes being a little more elastic, both in foot and width.
