Does the job! - my new review

This Paiyule battery organizer with tester does the job. It is not the kind of organizer one hangs on oneʼs workshop wall for instant view of and access to batteries—if thatʼs what you need, seek elsewhere. But if you, like me, need an organizer to lay on a shelf or in a large drawer or to lean up against something between occasional retrievals, then this is a good product. Keep in mind that, though described as a hard shell, the case is firm, not hard—you shouldnʼt be stacking cans of paint atop it, for instance. The (removable) spongy foam insert snugly holds a large quantity and variety of batteries, each in its individual hole—or in the case of button cells, slit—pre‐cut to size. (I found, to my surprise, that each holeʼs fill was still in the hole; I had no trouble pulling out the fill, though it was a little tedious to empty all the holes in one go. The testerʼs hole includes a shallow fill that one should keep in place as a cushiony base for the tester.) Thereʼs no labeling of the holes as AAA, AA, etc., but itʼs quite easy to tell what holes are for what batteries. The layout works well.Thereʼs no manual for the battery tester, but itʼs labeled and easy to operate. It, too, fits well in its hole.Iʼve had no problems with the zipper—the case opens and closes easily. When open, the lid lies flat or leans against whateverʼs behind it—it doesn't remain propped up vertically on its own, for example. The product listing makes claim of a "360 degree zipper”, which suggests you can zip the lid right off, but thatʼs not so—I havenʼt done any measuring, but this is more like a 300° zipper, with the remaining 60° for the handle. (Reminder: This is a rectangular case, not a circular one, despite all this talk of degrees!) The handle looks and feels adequate, not that I plan to get much use out of it.When you get your organizer, open it up, remove the unneeded fill, and let it air out—mine had quite a bit of that new‐car smell, which I never liked anyway. And of course, load it up with batteries—thatʼll be one less mess in your life!

Pros
  • Saves time and frustration searching for batteries
Cons
  • May not be very portable
