I ride scooters and they are almost perfect for that. I don't drive interstates, when we go on tour we tend to stay on the freeway at around 65 mph or ⬇️. We carry full gear even though I have been riding scooters for over 20 years. I've had a few accidents and owned more than my fair share of racing gear. 1. If you are female, please order 1 size down, they will be a little bulky even with armor put on.2. If you're an Interstate driver, buy the best pair of jodhpurs. They do NOT have a Kevlar lining. They have double/triple stitching and thicker denim. With them you have about 3 seconds of flex time with a top speed of about 50/60 mph. Interstate drivers must have 3-5 seconds of antiskid at high speed.3. Replace your thigh pads! You supply a few thin pieces of styrofoam, replace them with real CE certified thigh armor, it will do.4. The armor slides in and out fairly easily, making it easy to clean. A little baggy in the crotch for a woman, but not bad. They are definitely made for men. When we ride, I take a change of clothes and shoes with me. So if we get where we plan to, I can look cute, that's important to me. If you're not short like me (yes I know I am) they are perfectly walkable. I couldn't feel my thigh armor, but you've noticed that the knee armor is easy to take off again.7. They are no warmer than regular jeans in cold weather. Same goes for hot weather, they are no cooler than regular jeans. No ventilation! Hope this helps someone.
