Heavy wide base with a nice flat top. I don't know if that's fully "professional" level in the sense that you'd give it to the Rolling Stones or a lively karaoke bar, but it's better than the low consumer level. You can buy a lot of these units for 1/2 or 2/3 the price but they tend to have crappy bases and I would happily buy the same unit again and probably will.
