I've replaced lots of spindles on lots of decks. Suprisingly, these two spindles arrived with the blade retaining bolt drilled in so tightly that it cannot be removed.yet. I actually stripped the pulley splines up top trying to get it out! Heat? No dice. My thought is that the manufacturer made these, they gunned in the blade retaining bolt prior to putting the spindle in the spindle body. Voila! Unusable. Stay tuned for a review update!UPDATE: After receiving a new pulley to put atop the splined spindle, I still could not get the bottom blade retaining bolt out. (I am strong and do a lot of work with my hands). Rather than put an impact driver on it, I am returning them. I believe these were simply driven in too hard at the point of manufacture. Thanks to Walmart for the same-day rush delivery of another spindle and pulley! I am now up and running!
