Review on Silver Canon EOS M6 Camera Kit with 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM Lens by Sai A Nyi ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm very happy, it really is worth buying.

Bought to replace Canon EOS M3. No regrets, the next model made a huge leap in image quality. When shooting indoors, with mixed lighting, the picture became much better. Less noise, not so failed shadows, light is less knocked out. The white balance has become better, and this is under difficult conditions, when light with different color temperatures. As someone rightly wrote here, the quality falls short of the 5D Mark III. I agree, but out of the money that is invested in the M6, the camera works out everything to the last penny. In general, the electronic part does not cause any complaints, the main disadvantages are concentrated in the mechanical one. Buttons and levers are too tight. I thought it would take a few months for them to develop, but no, they are still tight. This is especially noticeable when you shoot a video, pressing a small button shakes the entire camera, which is not very convenient. And the main drawback, in my opinion, is the deafeningly loud pop of the mechanical shutter. I don’t know what can clap so loudly there, but in the store all the cameras were clapping equally loudly, and judging by the reviews on the Internet, this is not a bug, but a feature. At the same time, the camera has an electronic shutter that works perfectly and silently in timelapse mode. An ancient legend says that somehow you can turn on the electronic shutter for other shooting modes, but I personally could not find any information about this. If anyone knows, write, I will be grateful.

Pros
  • 1, Fast auto focus 2. Image quality 3. Convenient control 4. Burst speed 5. Good interface
Cons
  • 1. Too tight buttons and levers 2. Deafeningly loud mechanical shutter sound
