The pineapple itself is well made. As other reviews have said, the elastic cord is too stretchy and we had to detach it and insert a non-stretch cord. The cord itself was poorly constructed and the plastic tab that held it taut was useless. We ended up having to tie it really tight to keep it in place. This is probably not enough for a kitten 6 months old or younger. Mine is about 4 pounds and 6 months old and it's almost too big a neck hole to go on. However, if she were a little bigger, it wouldn't be enough to stop her from licking the slit, so the proportions are a bit off. With all of that, once she gets used to it, I think she sort of likes it. She definitely vibrates the neck pillow and puts it to good use. She didn't try to start it after the first few hours and it's been two days. It doesn't stop her from licking her feet and she can reach the slit on her stomach if the green part isn't facing down, but overall it works. In general I recommend.
