Cute but poor quality

I ordered a few different letters for my Halloween costume. Everything but that was great - this product is terrible. When I removed the carbon paper, half of the letter came with it! The stuck parts are there forever, they cannot be torn off. So now I'm trying to fill in the missing, peeling areas with fabric paint (which doesn't blend well at all). I do not understand it!
