Review on MQ2V MagicMount Magnetic Qi Certified Smartphone by Nate Jenkins

Not worth the money - does not work as advertised

I bought this for my F150 after claiming that the magnets you need to attach to the back of the phone do not negatively affect the phone and charger or something else. With the magnets attached, my phone stayed in place well when connected to the charger and initially charged with no issues. I have a Galaxy S8. After a honeymoon of about a week, things weren't going too well. Sometimes I couldn't charge my phone when connected to the MagicMount charger. Sometimes the phone wouldn't charge on my Samsung wireless charging pad on my bedside table. I woke up in the morning and my phone wasn't charging. Sometimes my phone's wireless charging function wouldn't work at all no matter which wireless charger I used. I found that the magnets attached to the back of the phone were causing issues with my charging pad and the phone itself. Sometimes when I unplugged and plugged the Samsung wireless charging pad back in, the wireless charging worked for a while. In other cases, wireless charging worked again (for a while) when I restarted the phone. I ended up removing the magnets and haven't had any wireless charging issues since. The problem is that this new Scosche mount and charger I bought are useless in the car without magnets holding them in place. I cannot recommend this product at all. But maybe I can use this wireless charging stand on the table next to my computer.
