Treblab HD Max, you won't regret it!

First of all when trying to decide between products, I've been very happy with both Treblab HD77 (smaller) and Treblab HD Max! Both are characterized by impeccable sound quality, response and bass. Of course, a larger diaphragm means more sound and even more bass, which is why the HD Max outperforms its in-water little brother. Much better sound and build quality than other brands; price too. I actually bought my HD Max for my theater projector. The awkwardness of lugging the soundbar around trying to find the right spot inside or outside my home is a pain. With Bluetooth capability and a straight 3/8 cable, getting connected with great sound is a breeze. HD Max is made to go. It also won't tip over or die in light rain, splashes from a nearby pool, or a spilled drink. Treblab products are simply built like a tank. And will play for hours without charging. Use your phone to play music and answer a call, no problem! You can also use a speaker for this. I really can't find much fault with the Treblab speakers. However, this wouldn't be an honest review if I didn't include a few minor issues. My biggest gripe with the HD Max (or the HD77) is the low battery warning that you get when the battery is almost empty. Don't get me wrong, warnings are good, but not if you're using the power to warn me it's shutting down. You're just robbing me of an opportunity to enjoy the last few minutes of the song I'm listening to. Not to mention the frequency with which the interrupt occurs. I think the best option would be to use a lighting system. Example: solid green = full power, yellow = medium, red = charging required. There's really no reason to tell me out loud that I need to charge Treblab; I'll find out when he finally dies. Finally, remember that this is just a limitation of the technology itself and not Treblab's fault. I can't wait for the day when using Bluetooth no longer means sacrificing volume. This story is as old as the world, an attempt to find a balance between quality and functionality. When you're embracing the flexibility and convenience of portability that comes with Bluetooth, you're not getting the same performance as you would with a wired, uninterrupted, active version of another audio source of equal performance. However, Treblab is damn close! The best audio investment I've ever made. All in all you won't regret it!

Pros
  • Portable AV
Cons
  • Non-Automatic
