Review on 🚪 Maxpow 2Pcs SG314044 Rear Hatch Liftgate Tailgate Lift Supports for Jeep Grand Cherokee 2005-2010 by Jim Velasco

Took a few minutes to install, instructions were a bit vague. Once you understand this, the installation will take a few seconds. I used ball joints. It comes with ball mounts, but they didn't need to be removed. Just pull the pin clips, remove the old ones and insert the new ones. During installation the shock seemed long and trying to depress it would not work. Just pick up the door. There is also some grease in the ball joint. After installation, the tailgate was easier to open than before. We'll see how long they last as multiple reviews point to failure after a few months. Will update when they go out of service but so far they work well and are easy to install. This was on a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
