The seller did not provide the dimensions of the panel cutout. The ones shown in the attached picture are tight. One might consider being a little generous with the amount of material removed. The dotted blue line is the outline of the face of the shield sensor. This is a gray area that needs to be removed. Notice the four handles in the top and bottom rows. Three of the four I received worked right away. The fourth required a battery change, but its readings were very different from those of the other three (marked as defective). Each of these devices uses two AG13 (LR44) alkaline batteries. The batteries are installed on the back of the case with the positive base facing out. Supplied with four spare batteries. The maximum viewing angle is approximately 30 degrees from normal to the probe. The LCD display has no backlight. I like big numbers, but they would be more useful if they could be converted to Celsius scale. However, I had to pay 4 times as much through Bangood to get it. (bangood item number 1443872)
