Great ANR headset at a quarter the price of premium brands

I looked at several headsets before buying . The low cost of the UFQ A28 made it a good choice, but I was a little nervous about an unknown brand with very few reviews. I risked it and am very happy with my purchase. I've had the headset for a few months now and have used it on several flights. I'm still using the original set of AA batteries (which I don't think were included with my purchase - if it was, I simply put in some energizers instead of the ones that came with the headset). The active noise cancellation (ANR) works surprisingly well for a headset in this price range. My flight club has a Bose Aviation X ANR headset that I use regularly, but my A28 works almost as well so I no longer use the club headset. It came in a beautiful bag. It smelled a bit strange for the first few days, but now it can't be smelled anymore. I post a lot of aviation videos on YouTube under the username dan_der_flugel. You can get a good idea of how well the headset works by listening to the audio in some of my recent videos. I also added a short video to this review. You can't hear the ANR in the video (this magic happens in the earcups and I get the audio into my camera via cable before the ANR changes anything). But you will REALLY get a feel for how well the mic performs compared to the cheap headset my son uses. In my opinion, the microphone is just as important as the ANR.
