Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Silent Cooling Power: Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU Cooler with 250W TDP, BK022 by Jnis Staulis แ Œ

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very pleased with this purchase, will recommend it to everyone!

Bought for 10900K. Silence was essential. On the Asus ROG MAXIMUS XII HERO mother, it gets up normally, BUT the heat pipes are right next to the extreme memory bar. I have HyperX Fury. The radiators there are symbolic (the total height is 34mm), so it's generally okay. If there were more (in the sense, WIDER because of the radiator), then -1 slot. In auto mode, the mother turns the valves somewhere at <= 400 rpm. Cooler is not heard at all. If you load the percent, then it can reach up to ~ 1500 rpm. Heard, but not critical. In auto modes, the percentage in idle stays somewhere around 30 * C, in load - less than 80 * C. If the energy limit is set to 250W, then the temperatures run beyond 95 * C and the percentage of throttling. Adequately holds no more than 200W, then the upper bar is about 90 * C. With this, you can already live with peace of mind :) For myself, I stopped at a limit of 180W, and the cooler copes with this perfectly: 80-85 * C and the frequencies are kept at 4.9 for all 10 cores. Thermal Grease: Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. : If you get confused and find the minimum voltage for your processor instance, it will be better. I was able to keep the cooling for the 200W limit below 85*C. So, probably, this cooler will pull up to 250W. However, you need to test your percent manually on each multiplier with a minimum voltage.

Pros
  • Quiet! Rich equipment. There are even brackets for 3 fans (or as spares).
Cons
  • Indoor fan exotic; with the search for a replacement (if he refuses) you will have to tinker . 250 promised watts takes out straight with difficulty. Count on honest 200W.
