Feels good. metal, not plastic. 4 stars versus 5 because the motor doesn't slide up/down easily. The motor spins easily even after the maximum number of platters have been cleaned, but I usually only do 1 to 3 (with two spacers between the platters instead of 1) at a time. I don't know if I really need to limit the number of discs that can be cleaned, but I think vinyl can get cleaner if there's more space between them. It's well made, cleans great (probably more so thanks to ultrasonics) and is pretty easy to use. In short, I would buy it again anytime. NOTE: The device initially tilted forward (when fully loaded). I made sure it was properly/tightly mounted on the transducer (avoid ridges in the UC body/bath) and tightened the set screws on the outer standoffs SECURELY (or FIRMLY). see fig.
