Review on Efficient SKS Multi-Valve Head: Connect Tyre Valve with Ease by Matt Schwartz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My old pump is best preserved in accessories

My floor pump is about 15 years old. It still pumps great air, but the presta valve is no longer tight. It is very inconvenient to hold the valve with the other hand and operate the floor pump. I avoided checking the air in the tires. I started looking for new $40-$80 pumps but hated the thought of throwing away a good pump because of valve wear. I found this and tried it. Removing the old valve and installing this took less than 5 minutes. When I first tried this, I experienced what many have complained about the Presta valve not releasing. When I pushed a little harder I heard the valve open and after that everything was fine. If you didn't have enough valve stem length I could see where you might have a problem, but a while ago I learned to always use a longer stem to make life easier. I've used it a few times and can pump up to 120psi with no issues.
