THIS LAMP WILL NOT SWITCH ON AND OFF BY STEPPING ONTO THE TOP AS INDICATED IN THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION! I bought this for my bedside table to help breastfeed in the middle of the night. I wanted a lamp that can be activated by pressing it and remembers the last brightness setting. If you touch the top when it is on, the color of the lamp will change. Holding it will change the brightness of the current color. Very disappointed with the purchase as the description makes it clear how the lamp works. Switching on/off is only possible with a button on the side or a remote control. Pros: White color is warm and not too bright; Brightness range (4 options) is pleasant and very light; the remote works as it should. If you are looking for a touch lamp, DO NOT buy this.
