These mirrors arrived on time with no damage. This was the end of the positive experience. A mirror failed in step 2 of assembly. (see photo) Tightening the nut as directed in the instructions will pull the threaded bolt out of the main post of the post. What initially looked like a high-quality one-piece construction turned out to be a cheap, thin-walled, two-piece press fit. No signs of fusion or spot welds, no Loctite or any other adhesive. Of all the Revain mirror options that look the same in photos, I was hoping that the premium price point was an indication of premium quality. Absolutely not. If they hadn't failed during assembly, they would eventually have failed at highway speeds due to wind pressure. They pose a safety hazard to other motorists and a huge liability risk to those who install them.
