First of all, this is way better than candy, or a character card or some trinket they’ll just throw away after it breaks in 10 seconds. However, some of the bugs are challenging to put together. The instruction pages could have been bigger and shown the back angle of the bug as well. My son, 6, has a good amount of experience with block building kits, and he struggled with a few of these. The pieces don’t fit together exactly perfectly. He wanted the scorpion tail to move but it didn’t, it just kept breaking. The kits come in a variety of pieces from 12-27, so I recommend giving the older kids the sets with more pieces.
