I built a desktop for my daughter and ended up gifting her my Bose Companion 2 Series, which I loved for its warm, rich sound. I was looking to buy another pair but the model was discontinued so I settled on the Edifier G2000. These are very different sounding speakers to Bose, but they're attractive in a different way. While Bose is warm and rich, it's also a little muted. In contrast, the Edifier is brighter and flashier, which isn't surprising since it's made for gaming. I agree with both approaches. Edifier has good sound quality for watching movies and listening to news on YouTube TV or podcasts. So while I miss the Bose's warmer tone, I'm used to the Edifier's brighter tone. Definitely worth your money.
