They sent me a ridiculously damaged and used instrument.

You have sent an obviously used and damaged tool. There is no sticker on the product, just a newly printed barcode. The blade is dull, dented and scratched with remnants of something all over the blade. The handle is sticky, the rubber is worn from use. Receiving a returned item is one thing, but shipping an item with obvious damage and a sticky residue when charged as new is willfully dishonest.
