It works but you might be shocked at how small the range is. I think the receiver is decent technology here, but the transmitter is terrible. The property line is probably about 6 feet. Through the sofa and even less. If you can get 1080p out of it, maybe even less. It's possible you have another transmitter to pair with, but if you're using a beamed transmitter, limit that to avoid running wires, not between rooms or anything. The receiver's pairing button requires pressing a pin, notch at the bottom. Why? Ridiculous. Says it's pre-paired, but I had to do it myself (instructions are displayed on the TV along with the status of the receiver when paired). I also had to buy 12 watt USB-A blocks for the transmitter and receiver. The transmitter may need to be unplugged from power (both HDMI and USB) from time to time to reset it. I couldn't find anything better but it wasn't what I was hoping for.
