Very light, perfect size for sports shoes. And they passed the real test: they were very well suited to trekking the mid-Atlantic trail mixed with dirt, mud, rocks and wet leaves. Excellent grip, slippery only on the wettest rocks. Much, much lighter than running shoes or boots. When I first tried them on I found them to be mediocre and if you want to wear them as sneakers they are good, nothing special. But on the track, they shine. . And so easy! The fit is normal for sneakers (I wear a 10 in dress shoes, a 10.5 in sneakers). They are more comfortable than some runners with a little more room at the top. No need to break them in, I put them on right away on a 2-3 mile hike with no discomfort, even slight ones. Please note that I only use these for hiking, I cannot rate them as true running shoes. As light and comfortable as they are, I will definitely continue to use them for light hiking. Recommended. If they hold up over time I would even say "highly recommended".
