I used to buy another cat carrier with a transparent hard shell on the front and multiple air holes on the bottom. This backpack was durable and well made, but I stopped using it because I felt it didn't let enough air through and I was afraid my cat would get too hot. Then I came across this product and was so excited that it is made entirely of mesh on the front and about 80% mesh on the sides. It's very durable and the mesh isn't flimsy or anything, it should last a long time! My cat loves to climb into the carrier on his own (the video I uploaded was after we went inside). I would never recommend forcing a pet into this backpack if they refuse to put them in a carrier. There is plenty of room for my cat and he fits in comfortably but he is a small cat at only 10lbs although he is quite long and can sit in it with the zipper closed. I love that it has a retractable back to give your pet more space when not in use on your back. Overall I would say this is a very well made product at a low price and I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering it for their pet.
