Works well but wish the mat was bigger
Works well. I used this mold with fondant. It turns out that burlap looks appropriate. It was a little difficult to get the edges together and look like one continuous strip of burlap. After a little practice it's great. It would be better if the rug was longer and narrower, like a strip of burlap. I think it could work with a sugar veil too, but the mat is small so you can't do much at once as it takes a while to dry. The burlap rug that Sugar Veil sells is much larger, but also more expensive.
