I never wanted to take off an electronic device ever again.

This thing combines my disdain for cheap, crappy sound with my dislike of incessant beeps, and yet it's incredibly hard to work with. I would have thought it would take sheer talent to come up with something with such a lousy combination, but I guess I can't say I have that kind of experience. , it sounds tinny and cheap. I realize it's not an expensive device so I might miss out on some of it, but what if the sound quality lacks it makes up for the annoyance factor. It can't play lyrics at a reasonable volume and audibility, but it doesn't have an issue with the incessant beeping it emits every time a connected Bluetooth device enters or leaves range, and that, incidentally, can't be turned off. Yes. It's an alarm clock, then, meaning this thing feels obligated to continuously beep in my ear at all times if the owl companion moves in and out of the somewhat arbitrary Bluetooth range at any given time. Even better, it somehow manages to have a signal strong enough to find the phone all over the house, while still being crappy enough to drop it and reconnect, often 8-10 times in 5 minutes. It's extremely charming when someone tries to sleep just a few feet away from them. However, I give points for durability. I've dropped it, thrown it, the kids have ripped it off the string, and this crazy, incessant thing keeps squeaking obnoxiously. Like an energizer bunny from hell. The perfect gift for that particularly awkward family member.
