We got a 3 year old dog through adoption. Although she was potty trained when admitted, it was difficult to know when to use the bathroom. I have 2 doors in my apartment that lead to the street. She will be sitting in front of one of the doors. And just sit there. Well, she's small and I don't see her when she's just sitting. She doesn't bark or whimper. So I got these bells. The first day we called her every time we took her to the potty before we opened the door. For 3 days she rang the bell every time she wanted to go out. It was great to be able to communicate with the puppies in this way. They are long enough for small dogs. Sturdy enough for large dogs. Loud enough to hear even when the TV is on.
