Review on 🔌 Lippert Components 301695 Electric Step Motor: Efficient and Reliable Performance by Arnold Carrigan

I figured I'd spend twice as much and get a motor that revs right away. My nightmare has only just begun. The holes on this motor were drilled 7/64 inch. The screws on my original unit were 1/4" (4 bit sizes larger). I can only hope the hole pattern is correct. Thank goodness for tools I had a drill press and a 1/4 sharp drill bit for the first mod. The Motor was brought from China and the packaging says it fits all stairs.I knew straight away there would be problems.Tomorrow I will have to deal with installing the motor so that the 6 gaskets line up with the screw holes.I bought a tube of silicone caulk and am hoping it will hold the seals in place and defy gravity while I tighten the three screws.The screw placement was spot on and the silicone helped defy gravity.I used an aerosol brake cleaner to clean the Clean glides and then lubricate well with Kwik Lube works great!
