Review on Enhance Your U1000 Dash Cam with Thinkware Radar Accessory (V1) by Robert Prix

November 13, 2019 In order to activate the radar, you must first put the U1000/camera in the parking recording mode into sleep mode. On November 7th I received my second radar sensor after replacing the front panel of the U1000. and the rear ones too. It turns out that the problem is in the software. Doesn't work with my iPhone 7, iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro Max in our family. can't enable it from menu as we can't connect with normal apt. We can force the app to connect to the cloud app, but the menu still doesn't let us activate the radar when connected. is displayed as an option, nothing happens.----------------------------------------------------- - ------- Radar picked it up and linked it. It's relatively straight forward. plug and play and of course the catch. mine didn't work. I understand that you need to turn on the radar in the recording settings according to the attached instructions. I also updated my dashcam to the latest firmware as of 03/11/19. My app on my phone wouldn't let me turn it on (iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 11Pro. Tried two different phones). the option to turn on the radar remains inactive. Thinking the issues might be related to the connection on the DVR for the radar I replaced my U1000. Same problem, the radar doesn't work with the U1000 replacement. Now I'm swapping out the radar, let's see if that's the case. I hope this is an accident. In general, I liked Thinkware products. I also tried calling Thinkware several times. I received the messaging system with no reply during business hours only. sour taste in the mouth. Thinkware makes a great product. Customer service. look elsewhere I will update my review accordingly. I'm still waiting for Thinkware to approve the return and have already purchased a second radar.
